GSMA has announced at Mobile 360 Asia Pacific the formation of the Asia Pacific (APAC) 5G Industry Community; a new ecosystem established for those seeking opportunities to deliver Industry 4.0 and digital transformation from 5G networks, edge-cloud services, enterprise IoT and AI.
The APAC 5G Industry Community is comprised of 12 Contributing members, as well as the existing IoT and 5G emerging market community, which have over 500 members in more than 30 countries. These members include AIS, Axiata, DEPA, DHL, Globe, Huawei, Kominfo, Maxis, MDEC, Schneider Electric, Telkomsel and, Viettel.
There is an impetus to provide more support for education to industries, ecosystem development, innovation, and appropriate advocacy. As such, the Community will seek to build a platform for people who are passionate about 5G and its benefits to industries and enterprises, to connect with peers and share their knowledge to build the next generation of the mobile ecosystem.
