Australia Post has announced the launch of its first home internet service using the NBN Co network, Australia Post Broadband, providing customers with more choice when selecting an internet service for their home.

Available to purchase in participating Post Offices and online, for use in nbn serviceable locations, Australia Post Broadband includes eight different month-to-month plan options, with no lock-in contracts.

Australia Post Broadband will start at $54/month with unlimited data and features plans with several download speed options to cater to varying data needs, whether using the service for light web browsing or streaming the latest binge-worthy content in 4K. Users that switch to Australia Post Broadband by 9 January 2023 also receive an introductory offer of 25 percent off each month for the first six months of service.

Australia Post Executive General Manager Retail, Catriona Noble said Australia Post plays an important role in keeping Australians connected which is why we are delighted to be launching Australia Post Broadband on the nbn  network. This is the second product in our growing telecommunications portfolio as we continue to diversify our business.

“Customers want choice when it comes to selecting their home internet service, so we are providing a range of plans to suit people’s usage habits. Our priority was also to make it easy for customers to switch to Australia Post Broadband, with existing nbn customers able to typically make the switch within one business day,” Ms Noble said.

Once signed up to Australia Post Broadband customers can choose to utilise their existing nbnTM approved modem with the option to purchase an Australia Post modem for an additional $109.
