Commodore Australia says it will illuminate the Off-Grid Living Festival in Chiltern, Victoria, on April 6 & 7, 2024, with its solar skids, marking a significant shift towards sustainable event power solutions.
The use of solar skids by Commodore Australia introduces a new era of energy solutions, capable of supporting not only public events but also providing reliable power in remote and demanding environments such as mining sites and telecommunications infrastructure.
“This initiative is a testament to the adaptability and potential of solar energy to meet diverse energy needs, from community festivals to critical industry operations, paving the way for a more sustainable future.” says Linden Howells, Head of Engineering at Commodore Australia.
The Off-Grid Living Festival attracts thousands of visitors each year, offering workshops, demonstrations, and exhibits on sustainable, self-sufficient and off the grid living practices.
“By powering the festival with our transportable solar skids, we’re demonstrating the feasibility and benefits of renewable energy in reducing reliance on fossil fuels” adds Linden.
