Bosch Building Technologies plans further growth in the building automation sector by acquiring DMS Digitale Mess- und Steuersysteme AG. Bosch and DMS AG signed the agreements on July 18, 2024.
Bosch says DMS AG is a brand-agnostic company with more than four decades of experience developing, planning, programming, installing, operating, and maintaining control technology.
Bosch Building Technologies, which grew by 25% in building automation in Germany in 2023, adds that its customers will benefit from an expanded portfolio in industrial and process automation. The acquisition complements the 2019 and 2022 purchases of GFR Gesellschaft für Regelungstechnik und Energieeinsparung, now Bosch Building Automation GmbH, and Hörburger GmbH.
“With DMS AG, another building automation specialist with highly qualified and experienced associates complements our system integrator business,” said Bosch Building Technologies President Thomas Quante. “Together, we want to expand our existing portfolio for industrial customers and develop new forward-looking solutions and services that will enable the economical and sustainable operation of industrial buildings through to production.”
Neither party disclosed the purchase price, and it remains subject to approval by the relevant regulatory authorities.
