Universal Vapor Jet Corporation (UVJC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Universal Display Corporation, has launched NovaJet, which it says is the first commercial system built on its Universal Vapor Jet Printing (UVJP) platform.
According to the company, NovaJet is available to order and intended for deployment at customer sites, providing a platform for evaluating advanced materials, developing deposition processes and validating applications. UVJC said the system deposits functional materials directly onto substrates including silicon wafers, glass, polymers and metals, targeting semiconductor, electronics and other advanced manufacturing applications.
The system was developed and built in Singapore, UVJC said, and is positioned to support customers from application development through to manufacturing implementation.
“NovaJet is the first commercial realization of our Universal Vapor Jet Printing platform,” said Chandran Nair, chief executive officer of UVJC. “As industries pursue increasingly advanced materials and device architectures, bridging the gap between innovation and manufacturing has become essential. NovaJet was designed to give researchers, engineers and manufacturers a highly flexible platform for advancing new materials, developing processes and accelerating the path toward commercial production.”
UVJC said NovaJet is being showcased at the WESEMiBAY Semiconductor Ecosystem Conference and Expo in Shenzhen, China, where visitors to the company’s booth can view coated substrates and printed samples produced on its production system in Singapore, alongside a scale model of the NovaJet platform.
The company said NovaJet is designed to help move advanced materials from laboratory research toward scalable manufacturing by supporting validation of materials, deposition processes and applications in laboratory settings before progressing to larger-scale production.
UVJC said NovaJet enables solvent-free deposition without the use of solvents, masks or conventional lithography, and brings multiple stages of thin-film development onto a single dry platform. The company said it can work with customers to transition validated processes into production through UVJP process and application intellectual property tailored to specific production requirements and end-use applications, including larger-scale automated or customised systems over time.
UVJC listed potential applications including semiconductor advanced packaging, perovskites and solar technologies, biomedical and pharmaceutical applications, surface-energy modification, and sensors and monitoring systems.
The company said the platform operates without substrate heating, which it said makes it suitable for delicate, non-planar and temperature-sensitive surfaces, and that it can support multiple materials and graded compositions within a single process step.
UVJC said it plans to showcase NovaJet at additional industry and technical events worldwide, including the 2026 MRS Fall Meeting & Exhibit in Boston, Massachusetts, from 1 to 4 December.
