LPA Energy to acquire VRT Systems

LPA Energy, a lighting and energy solutions provider, has announced its acquisition of VRT Systems, an industrial systems integrator, specialising in energy management and utility billing infrastructure. The addition of VRT Systems to the LPA Energy Group will enhance the range of solutions offered, furthering LPA’s mission to provide clients with innovative, solutions that deliver energy and operational efficiencies.

VRT Systems will continue to develop industrial information solutions in the areas of sensors, automation systems, tracking, energy management and operations management across the manufacturing, utilities, transport, construction, and government industry sectors.

According to John Meehan, the founder of VRT Systems, “another significant benefit to our customers will be the acceleration of the product development roadmap, particularly within the WideSky family”.

Other brands included in the acquisition include CETA, a commercial metering solutions business, and WideSky, a cloud-based IIoT platform that offers true visibility of the performance of working environments.
