Fujitsu has announced the promotion of ANZ CEO Graeme Beardsell to Executive Vice President and CEO for Asia Pacific, effective as of April 1, under a new global management structure.

Retaining his role as the Chief Executive Officer for Australia and New Zealand, Graeme will work with the regional leadership team.

Graeme Beardsell, Executive Vice President and CEO, Fujitsu Asia Pacific, said, “I am honoured to have been entrusted by the global leadership team to take on the role of Executive Vice President and CEO for Asia Pacific. I look forward to translating the learnings and successes we have seen in the Australia and New Zealand market into actionable insights for the region and to continuing to deliver the best outcomes that help our customers to help their customers.”

Hidenori Furuta, COO & CDPO, Head of International Regions of Fujitsu Limited, said, “Since Graeme took the helm of the Australia and New Zealand business nearly 18 months ago, Fujitsu’s operations in Australia and New Zealand have continued to grow from strength to strength. He’s a driving force for change in our organisation and we are thrilled to welcome Graeme to the Asia Pacific leadership team. I am sure his previous experience in Asia will bring benefits to his new role.”

Graeme was appointed to the role of CEO of Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand in November 2020. Prior to joining Fujitsu, Graeme spent over 30 years in senior management, P&L, sales, consulting, M&A and product management roles across start-ups and well-established companies, including IBM, Salesforce, Experian and Akamai.

In January 2022, Fujitsu Limited announced the establishment of four new regions – Japan, Europe, Americas and Asia Pacific, to simplify the management structure, drive sustainable growth and bring more value to customers.
