A new report produced by Eagle Eye in collaboration with Deloitte Digital and Google Cloud argues that “agentic commerce” and AI-driven product discovery could change how consumers find and choose products, potentially reducing the visibility of individual brands.
The report, Redefining Retail Loyalty in the Age of AI, says 41% of consumers had used dedicated AI platforms for product discovery as of January 2026, and 33% said they had fully replaced previous discovery methods.
Among other findings cited, 84% of consumers said personalised recommendations could help them save money at the shelf. The report also said 71% would consider buying a product or would find it helpful if they received an offer while shopping in-store, while 68% said personalisation significantly increases brand satisfaction.
The report also links personalisation to business performance, stating that “personalisation leaders” are 48% more likely to exceed revenue goals, though it does not provide further detail in the material shared.
According to the report summary provided, it examines how brands including Woolworths are integrating AI into the shopping journey, and outlines areas marketers and retailers may need to reassess as AI increasingly mediates discovery and purchase.
