Rohde & Schwarz says it will use electronica 2026 in Munich to showcase a range of test and measurement demonstrations spanning field instruments, RF and microwave analysis, EMC compliance, aerospace and satellite testing, and quantum research.
Among the products it plans to introduce is a handheld “combi analyzer” intended to combine spectrum analysis, real-time spectrum analysis (RTSA), vector network analysis (VNA) and power meter measurements in a portable unit for field use. The company also said it will show the R&S HMP5050 DC power supply for the first time, positioning it as a bench instrument with up to five independent channels.
For higher-end measurement use cases, Rohde & Schwarz said it will display its FSWX signal and spectrum analyzer, highlighting multi-channel operation, sensitivity and dynamic range. It also said it will present display technologies aimed at testing challenges across multiple applications and industries.
In aerospace and satellite-related testing, the company said it will demonstrate a testbed for low Earth orbit satellite links and phased array beam steering using a robotic arm to emulate satellite movement. It also plans to show 5G non-terrestrial network (NR-NTN) testing using the CMX500 one-box signalling tester, as well as micro-Doppler simulation for drone detection in 6G integrated sensing and communications (ISAC) using the AREG800A automotive radar echo generator.
For electronics and power electronics testing, Rohde & Schwarz said it will present systems covering early design through to validation. Demonstrations include electric drivetrain efficiency measurements with the LMG600 Series power analyzer from ZES Zimmer, three-phase power analysis with MXO oscilloscopes, and transient current measurements on wide-bandgap devices using the MXO 5 oscilloscope with the R&S RT-ZISO isolated probing system. The company also said it will show oscilloscope synchronisation for up to 24 channels via its ScopeSync app and demonstrate MXO AI Connect, which it said enables compatible AI agents to access MXO knowledge, control the oscilloscope and support measurement workflows using natural language.
For validation, it said it will demonstrate signal and power integrity measurements for high-speed designs, including SerDes applications, using the R&S RTP oscilloscope and SEPIA by Picotest from Signal Edge Solutions. It also plans to include high-speed digital interface testing up to 54 GHz using the R&S ZNB3000 vector network analyzer.
In RF and microwave testing, Rohde & Schwarz said it will show phase noise measurements up to 170 GHz using the R&S FSWP phase noise analyzer with frequency extensions, along with two-port amplifier testing using wideband modulated signals on the FSWX. It also plans to demonstrate Ka-band amplifier characterisation using the R&S ZNA vector network analyzer combined with the R&S SAM200 system amplifier, and interference testing for automotive radar validation with the AREG800A.
For EMC compliance testing, the company said its demonstrations will focus on conducted and radiated EMI measurement with an emphasis on speed, automation and flexibility. It plans to show compliance testing with the R&S ESW EMI test receiver and automated EMC testing using R&S ELEKTRA software, alongside the R&S EPL1007 EMI test receiver, which it said can be upgraded as requirements change. Customized RF and EMC test systems for complex environments will also be included, according to the company.
In quantum research, Zurich Instruments said it will present systems for quantum computing, quantum sensing and sensor control. Planned demonstrations include control systems that scale from a single qubit to 1000 qubits (SHFQC and ZQCS), arbitrary waveform generation for quantum technologies (HDAWG), and sensor characterisation using impedance analyzers (MFIA) and lock-in amplifiers (VHFLI and SHFLI).
In production, manufacturing and service, Rohde & Schwarz said it will cover end-of-line testing of power electronics modules aligned with standards such as AQG 324, using PE-Systems with the MXO 5C oscilloscope. It also plans to show manufacturing tests for telematics control units and wireless battery management systems using its R&S ExpressTSVP test platform and CMP180 radio communication test set. The company said it will also present electronic manufacturing services ranging from prototype builds to serial production, and outline its service portfolio including calibration and repair options.
