Fujitsu has announced it has made two strategic appointments to its health industry, expanding its already significant footprint in the health sector.
It has appointed Ian Manovel as Head of Industry, Health, Australia and New Zealand and Anthony Wang as Digital Transformation Director, Health, Australia and New Zealand.
Ian leads Fujitsu’s expansion in the ANZ health sector and is responsible for the health industry strategy, transformation agenda, sales growth and customer service management. Anthony is responsible for delivering the best of Fujitsu innovation to our customers to lead and support them on their transformation journeys.
Ian has spent 30 years working in the healthcare sector, including 12 years as a hospital and community pharmacist in Australia and the United Kingdom. As an entrepreneur, he has founded medicines management, training and consulting companies. In his most recent role as Health Industry Partner for DXC Technology, Ian engaged with executive leadership teams to deliver government and healthcare consulting transformation projects. His prior roles include Health Innovation Principal Director at Accenture, Health Industry Lead at NPS MedicineWise and Associate Director of Analytics and Business Development at Bupa.

Anthony joins Fujitsu with more than 20 years’ experience in enterprise IT strategy development and delivery. After completing his medical degree and working as a doctor, Anthony completed a degree in computer engineering. He has held roles at AMP Financial services, Optus and Accenture. In his most recent role as Chief Technology Officer at Ramsay Health Care, Anthony spearheaded large-scale digital initiatives including the first doctor-based mobile application to access the Australian federal government’s My Health Record and the first digital patient flow program in Australian private hospitals.
